Removing cement ribbon pointing

This is an ongoing restoration project to remove failing cement ribbon pointing from the side elevation of an imposing Victorian sandstone house. The original joints are being carefully raked out by hand and repointed using traditional lime mortar, allowing the stonework to breathe once again while preserving the character and integrity of the building for decades to come.
